Che Lagarto Hostel Reviews

Che Lagarto has a good location, close to San Telmo and Centro sites. It has a really nice bar on premises, with a good lunch parrilla and cheap drinks. We stayed over Christmas holidays, and opted for a private apartment as a treat. Unfortunately, there is was absolutely no ventilation of any sort, and the apartments windows face the public bar (think noise!). The staff was accomodating, however, we ran into many issues while we were there. There was a power outtage in the kitchen (that had no sort of window for light), the cable went on and off, and at the end of our stay, a discrepancy in price. |

I like the bar, and the staff was very helpful. I really think they have to work on their kitchen facilities they are too basic. |

Great facilities although the downstairs section is a little too big to meet people properly as it creates an odd vibe. |

-Fun atmosphere. Good place to know people. -Internet access, friendly staff people and nice-looking hostel. -Depending on the room you're staying at it's hard to sleep due to the noise people make at the bar. -Bad thing: not recommended to walk around the hostel's neighboorhood at night - too dark and unfriendly neighboorhood. It is close to Plaza de Mayo but in a poorer area of downtown. Be careful at night! |

Quite clean, easy to get around San Telmo and within walking reach of the centre, Le Boca and Puerto Madero. Palermo and Recoletta are quite far away so the nightlife there is only reachable via taxi. Quite a cheap stay though. |

Great location between central BA and San Telmo, a fun place to stay and meet people, with good staff and facilities. Really enjoyed our stay there. |

An ok location for downtown, nice room with cable TV, basic breakfast (disappointing when they have chef and kitchen on site) slowest internet in south america |

Staff were really helpful and as we stayed for 5 days we were given a really good rate for our room which was really nice. There is a bar and movie screen and was a good place to meet people. |
