Great location, clean rooms, basic brekky but good. Amazing service. Balen the property owner is the friendliest and genuinely kindest person we have stayed with on our trip. They completely deserve their high rating on hostelbookers and I wouldn&'t stay anywhere else in Calafate. Extremely recommended!

This location is run by a couple (Dario && Belen) and their little daughter (Adina) in which no words can describe the level of hospitality provided by them. If any word describes them, then let that word be MAGNIFICENT. We booked to stay here a few days ahead of we got here and they provided us with quick and relevant information that we required regarding costs of tours etc ahead of our stay. On arrival they advised that weather was poor for local sites and greatest to go El Chalten for a few days as it was far better and then to come back. They were quick to book our bus for next morning (great breakfast, no cost tea coffee 24 hours per day). There advice was spot on. Rooms are homely, location is superb (bus station &>10mins walk, restaurants/ bakery/ supermarkets all inside walking distance), hot showers, superb conversations with both Belen and Dario. I could go on forever about the perfection of service they provide. Brilliant! Home away from home!

This spot is excellent! Fantastic location, really clean and fantastic value for money! The really best thing without a doubt though is the owner - Belen. She is extremely warm and friendly and helpful and sorted out all of my tours, ongoing travel and lodging in El Chalten, transfer to airport etc. Nothing is too much trouble for her and she does everything with a huge smile. Would definitely recommend this spot - there is no way you will regret staying here!

We loved everything about Lautaro. The owners, Dario and Bel&en are incredibly warm and helpful. They create a unique atmosphere, we haven&'t found anywhere else untill now. We truly felt welcome, and came back two far more times following our first stay (although we had absolutely nothing far more to see or do in El Calafate). We would extremely suggest travellers to go to Lautaro!

The owners are extremely nice and helpful, who really care about the guests. They helped us to book excursion tours before our arrival. The breakfast is served from 6:30 to 11:00 and the owners bake cakes everyday for breakfast. On Easter Sunday Belen even baked Easter cake for breakfast! They also provided washing service which is really great price. the public kitchen is spacious with a separate dinning room. Overall mucha gracias Dario and Belen!

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who do absolutely everything to create your stay comfortable and welcoming. Great location close to the principal drag and clean and welcoming rooms. I&'d happily recommend this to any of my buddies and family.

Belen and Dario are absolutely wonderful. It was like living in a friend&'s house. Cheap, quiet, and clean. Met great people. Spent longer than I planned, largely simply because of Lautaro.

Basic rooms but extremely clean. Small cooking area for cooking and very good breakfast. The definite plus is the friendliness of the people living there.
