This is the single most enchanting hostels I have ever stayed at! The place is stunning and cosy, the employees was very helpful, they are an outstanding source of information about the region, and what to do at day time and night time. A shame I could only stay one night! I would have loved to extend my stay but I had a schedule for the rest of my trip. If you have the chance to go to Tilcara, you should stay at least 3 nights, and you should definitely stay at La Albahaca Hostel!

Staff was very nice. Facilities were clean. Location is good, about 5 blocks from city centre. It also has safe lockers.

Very authentic atmosphere. The stuff was very helpful and friendly, the greatest expertise in Argentina. We enjoyed the suggested track to the caves so much.

Great place to stay in tilcara! has hot showers all day, heating in rooms, yummy breakfast, and amazingly helpful staff! they have info about everything you might need to do in the region and all the bus and train times for your onwards travel! definitely recommended!

This was the best hostel we've stayed in in Argentina by far! Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff, Danni is the owner and Alex is the dude that works there ~ both of them bend over backwards to help you with anything you need, they have all the information on hand about onward travels, timetables for buses/trains, information about sightseeing in the surrounding area, boarding crossing info etc ~ very useful! Funky little hostel, super clean, warm comfy beds and amazing hot powerful shower! Gorgeous views from the rooftop. and they even serve you your breakfast in the morning! On top of all of this, Tilcara itself is a wicked wee town that shouldn't be missed for a night or two stopover.

The owners are really nice! often laughing and tells you everithing about the city and items you can do, also about other cities, buses, etc. nice rooms with a rooftop exactly where you can have breakfast or dinner looking at the quebrada de humahuaca.
