Staff were always really helpful. Regardless how busy they always answered with a smile. Great for setting tours up. Pretty clean and very good environment hostel. In case you are looking for travelling pals then they have activites each and every night going on. In case you arn&'t then it&'s just as effortless to do your own thing.

A fantastic location, just a brief walk from the town centre and marina. The employees were really warm and friendly and helpful. The place was clean, nicely furnished and had a warm and friendly vibe. Plenty of toilet/shower facilities and outstanding kitchen.

We stayed in this hostel when we arrived in Oz and we were so glad we did! Chris at reception is a legend! He helped us plan practically our whole trip, getting superb discounts and nothing was too much trouble for him! He knew all the best tours, campervan hire, skydive options and so on and thanks to him our trip has been amazing!

I really liked the environment as nicely as the all of the colours of the hostel. There was a lot of space to chill out, each inside and outside.

This is a beautiful hostel, full of friendly backpackers. The hostel itself is really cute. I really enjoyed my time here, and would suggest staying here.

I really enjoyed staying at Dreamtime, we ended up staying a week and a half right after only booking in for 4 days as we were due to fly out of Cairns. It was a really relaxed location with a gorgeous atmosphere. I really liked the rainforest feel along with the rooms were extremely nice along with the beds were comfortable. Air con was $1 for 3 hours but 2 coins can be put in for 6 hrs which is great for over the night. There are also ceiling fans too. They have entertainment most nights - movie nights, pizza night && a barbeque night. There are kitchens in each little block, the kitchens are small but limited to a certain quantity of individuals it isnt too bad. I never found it too busy in there simply because individuals seemed to eat at different times. The location of Dreamtime is a little out of the city centre but a brief walk into town (took 15 mins to walk to the lagoon. but lots of shops and bars/restaurants on the way) 5 mins to the main shopping mall exactly where there are a selection of shops and a great food court. A large Coles is located inside the left entrance so was extremely handy to grab dinner on the way back from town. I found the employees extremely friendly and helpful, if i was to work in a hostel I would pick this one. Management are friendly too and get involved with the individuals staying. Lots of trips offered to book at the reception along with the employees know a lot about them and have been on some of the trips themselves. Reception hours are 7. -12 and 4 - 8/9 so have to create sure you go on the net in these times or sort anything out ahead of it closes. Can be quiet during the night when reception is shut as most individuals have gone out or gone to bed. In case you want a loud party setting this isnt the location to go, although it depends on who is staying there and its what you make it, had nights playing drinking games with other travellers but had chilled nights too. Would recommend staying here if you are right after a chilled few days.

Clean, AC rooms with totally equipped kitchens - oven was a welcome bonus. Very nice vibe about the place and super helpful staff. Amazing to have a pool when the temperature is hitting 35 degrees. Amazing selection of nights including movie nights with no cost popcorn and an all you can eat Aussie Barbeque buffet. Fast Internet connection and good book swop. We&'d spent 2 nights at Caravella&'s just before this and it wasn&'t a patch on Dreamtime!
