One of the really best hostels I&'ve been. Really nice employees which actually cared of you and your needs. Transport to various walking tracks and bigger shops. Comforting character.

Only hostel located in Mission Beach village, where you can swim in the sea during stinger season, as there is certainly a net. Nice salt-water pool, calm and chilled out atmosphere, no loud or rowdy teenagers. Extremely friendly young managers, from who you can rent bikes. Recommend 30AUD tour of Dunk Island, great value!

The location was amazing! Right on the beach and near to the village. A free shuttle bus picked us up and took us back to the bus station which was ideal. Richard and his wife are the nicest individuals you will ever meet! Richard helped me with my bag into the room which was a much appreciated gesture, and you could tell, unlike so several other hostels that i&'ve stayed at, that they genuinely like backpackers. It had a really cozy feel to it and i felt extremely welcome. The hostel itself was clean, nice air-conditioned rooms with cozy beds and a lot of social areas. The other individuals staying inside the hostel were very nice too. Has to be one of my favourite hostels that i&'ve stayed in so far, don&'t go anywhere else in Mission Beach!

I enjoyed staying in this retreat! The owners are lovely, they really give you a warm welcome. They also pick you up for free from the busterminal. Excellent! The hostel is clean en cosy. I was there for just one night, but if I could I would stay longer. Don&'t think Mission Beach is just very good for a Sky dive, there is more! I enjoyed the afternoon at the beach, just 50mtr from the hostel! Select this hostel and you will have a relaxed staying. Cheers!

The Retreat had the nicest setting of all the hostels we have stayed in so far! The individuals are really friendly and we felt really comfortable there!
