The kitchen is a real challenge for travellers who want to prepare their very own meals. It is cleaned daily but there is certainly just one pan for example. The rest is nice, excellent meals, bar, as properly as the stuff delivers a amazing &"bushwalk&"!

The rooms were really nice, clean and contemporary with a nice clean bathroom. the only down side is that they were very cramped!

The kitchen was really dirty and most of the guests / staff didn't wash the dishes. You didn't ever had clean plate to use. The staff didn't know how the Hostelbookers works and that caused a lot of confusion when checking in. This is THE PLACE where u have to have prints of your reservation. For backbackers it is obvious to have prints every other day. or not! Can't recommend! Btw, very well arranged Fraser trip though.

Good location but the kitchen region was dirty. Dorm rooms facing the bar mean little sleep on the party nights (although other nights were fine).

There were bugs everywhere and the cooking area is disgusting. you can stay at the much nicer dingos or pippies nextdoor for the same price.

It's a nice place, when there's live music on in the bar it's really good fun and everyone is singing and dancing and having fun, staff are great. Everyones either coming or going to Frasers Island. My only negative experience with the hostel is via the tour company they use for Frasers Island. The staff there are rude and unfriendly from the start (except Wayne who's a star and will come to the bar and drink with you), the company it's self is clearly a bit dodguy and cuts corners and gives you cars not 100% road worthy with problems and will then try and charge you the customer for them when things go wrong. We were messed around, had our trip cancelled, delayed and then ripped off by them. Thankfully the hostel reimbursed some of the costs after complaining but still be wary,

Good atmosphere, fantastic staff, great bar, everyone is either going or coming back from fraser, so sand is an issue! its everywhere! not an amazing deal to do in rainbow beach itself but nonetheless a very nice spot to stay.

Great vibe as there's always loads of people about who are starting or finishing the tours. However, the kitchen is far too small for all these people! Not overly clean (spotted a rogue coachroach in room) but not horrendously dirty either. Bar open until late with live music which is great news unless you want an early night before your tour (rooms very close to bar).
