The property is pretty much as it advertises in what is frankly a hick town. Less expensive holiday accommodation is likely to be really marginal indeed. The only reason you would come to Uyuni would be to set off on a Salar tour. With that in mind, avoid Estrella del Sur. The vehicles were sub standard, the food ingredients were okay but really badly cooked and on day three, the driver was drinking beer at 7. 30 am despite the company&'s boasting about good vehicles and quality drivers prior to departure.

The room went beyond our expectations, and was very clean and comfortable. It was the first hot shower we had experienced in some time!

Open when we arrived off the train at 10. 30pm. Amazing breakfast buffet and hot shower. Employees were friendly and beds were comfortable enough.

It has hot showers, friendly staff and brilliant breakfast. This was best right after 3 days on a salt flats tour.
