The location at the beach is very nice. The small fishing community of Barra Lagoa was very noiseless during my stay, great for a calm time. And nonetheless there is certainly a lot to do. The staff is very helpful, speaks great english, friendly atmosphere. The hammocks are great.

Excellent place for doing nothing and just hanging out at the beach. The owners are really peaceful and organised, they are extremely warm and friendly and make you feel at home. The breakfast is excellent with a large selection of fruit, rye bread, ham && cheese, excellent coffee etc. The common areas are large. Sometimes they put on a BBQ for a small cost and it is excellent.

Portunhol has a peaceful and warm and friendly environment. Chris as properly as the rest of the employees are always willing to chat or give you suggestions on what to do in Floripa. They have a beer refrigerator which is always stocked with ICE cold beers for your enjoyment at ANY time. Extremely critical when in Brazil. The dinners were incredible. No joke. Robert, the Chileian chef, can cook a mean paella, curry and lasagna. And thats just what he cooked during my 3 nights! Near to the beach. Access to other beaches and Centro da Lagoa is easy by bus.

I loved it all! small and friendly, fantastic lazy hammocks, 100 metres from the beach. owners and staff super helpful and laid back. in case you are looking to chill but nonetheless be close to facilities try this. awesome beaches!

The staff is great, it's close to the beach, it's relaxed and chill. Perfect for people who just want to hang out, meet cool people and chill in a hammock with a caipirinha!

Certainly, the highest functions of this hostel are warm and friendly as well as the atmosphere. The location is great: near the beach and effortless transportation to other neighborhoods in Florianopolis. Moreover, who wants to appreciate the night can has the breakfast until noon.
