Nice atmosphere, exceptional common area, extremely exceptional breakfast

The hostel is situated in the extremely party area. The street is closed weekend nightes and individuals would dance in the street. It&'s pretty decorated with drawing and illustrations. They are inspiring. You can rent a bicycle too. The employees is really helpful.

Excellent location for the lapa street party on the weekends, as properly as the clubs around there. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Clean bathrooms.

My boyfriend and I had an awesome time at Books Hostel. The 3 nights reserved easily became 6 nights and we didn&t really want to leave. Felipe and the rest of the employees have gone out of their way to create our stay perfect, thanks so much for that and we&ll be back for sure! Some of the items that make this hostel stand out are the staff, the attractive breakfast with fruit and cereal inside the morning, the location right among Lapa and Santa Teresa, and lots of very good people to hang out and share our experiences with. Again, thanks guys, keep up the very good work and we&ll see you in December when we&ll be back in Rio!

The employees was actually one of the unfortunatelly very few nice points in this hostel. They were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was really great with lot&'s of nice fresh tasty fruits, great coffee, ham, cheese, bread etc. They have some nice new lockers in the upper floor. And also the decorations in the common region are quite nice. Also hot showers, which though were pretty dirty.

I really cant say enough superb points about Books hostel, everything was remarkable and i had the time of my life there for Carnival. Thanks guys for making my time in Rio so incredible, keep up the superb work. Youd be crazy not to stay here! Superb location in Lapa, superb amenities, very sociable, superb atmosphere!

After 10 days at Books we felt like the employees were our family. every night they are socialising and busy generating the awesome atmosphere that the spot has. Lapa is an amazing region for nightlife and is a fully different expertise to Copacabana or Ipanema. In case you are interested in a sociable, fun, partying expertise in Rio this is the spot for you.

Great and really helpful staff, nice decorations, extremely very good equipped kitchen, no cost water, nice bar along with the showers are amazing!

It&'s a outstanding location to meet other travellers. The staff are very accommodating and forthcoming, and are always eager to organise enjoyable activities and join you on excursions and in parties!
