I have been to Rio ahead of but this hostel has ideal atmosphere. So close to the beach and every traveler point. Its the ideal place to chill out following a long day of walking inside the city. Everyone is so nice and they even helped me with my next booking at the same time as they hooked me up with all of the extremely best parties. It&'s definitly the place too be. I reccomend !

I really enjoyed the staff. They were extremely welcoming and helpful when it came to advice. The management/desk staff is kind and I saw them always having warm and friendly conversation with the tenants. Each issue we had (which was extremely few) was solved instantly. The cleaning/cooking staff was great as well. Each day they cleaned our room and put in new sheets/towels. One of them was a smaller, older woman who didn&'t speak any english, yet she was hilarious and was always talking to others even if they couldn&'t understand her. The room was a great sized and also the beds were comfortable. Each morning, there was hot coffee, fresh bread, fruits, and delicious juices. There was so much that I liked, I know I&'m forgetting something. Over all, I guarantee my stay with Copinha hostel next time I travel to Rio de Janeiro.

Staff were not extremely helpful. The facilities were also were pretty poor, along with the toilet didnt even work for one day. No air con as promised

Basic room and breakfast but all you need is there: air co/lockers/wi-fi for free or affordable internet, helpful employees and great location!

The hostel is in a good position to move yourself in Rio, but it is extremely expensive for what it offers: the room was clean but extremely small (you cannot really move yourself inside! ), the breakfast starts at 8:30 and the place is so little so often you cannot stay inside to eat, the staff friendly but not always professional. If the prices remain so high I'd suggest to spend a little bit more and stay in a "real" room! Suggested just as last chance and for no more than 2-3 nights.
