This place is awesome. Cheap, perfect location and the staff are the best i've ever experienced (they come out and party with you!). Every night there's always something thats affordable on. Great for the solo traveller. Brian and Freddy, you guys are champs! |

The activities available are great! You have to go to the samba party and the favela party with them. This place does not try to rip you off, and there is a good kitchen and a lot of social stuff. |

The staff were everything you could ask for in a hostel. they were always there to give you loads of advice and were really great people. it was a really relaxed and fun atmosphere. perfect for rio. in the evenings things got lively. it is definitely a party hostel. the hostel itself was dirty so if this bothers you do not go. the cooking facilities were not great but you could still cook a meal. if you are looking for a great atmosphere and excellent location then this is the place to go! |

I only booked because of the price, but this place is great. Ton of fun, super spot by the beaches. They organize a lot of nighttime stuff. |

Loved Piratas! Everybody's so laid back, probably because they're at the beach all day, hahaha! Favorite part was the caipirinhas, but the area where they hang out on Ipanema was brilliant. They were painting when I was there. looking good boys! |

Amazing staff, really helpful and friendly people. Amazing location between Copacabana and Ipanema beaches. Very well organized, for each evening there was st. planned; barbecue, favela funk, visit of Lapa. it really gatheres people together! |

Great hostel, excellent value for money, brillant location and great place to meet other travellers and locals. Staff were really helpful. They organised great nights out and helped us with anything and everything. Could do with a clean but makes up for that in all other ways. |

Nothing. I checked out after one night and moved to a nicer hostel. You really do get what you pay for. The place needs some money spent on doing it up - it is not suitable for even animals to live in. It's worth spending a little more for somethinghalf decent. |

Best social atmosphere, very helpful staff (freddys the man) and great location. First impression might not be the best, but stay one night and you will fall in love wih the place |
