One dorm room, one private 3-person room and one private double (with one double bed). We are near beaches, hiking trails, kayak tours and whale watching, plus museums, art galleries and so much much more! Only one hour from Halifax. Open May - October.

Really nice place to relax on comfortable sofas and meet interesting individuals from around the world. Nice walk to Mahone Bay. Distance from Lunenburg is a lot more than made up for when they drop you off there! Staff are really warm and friendly and beds are comfy.

I totally loved Mahone Bay, and with some help from Greg (hostel owner) I was able to discover the off-the-beaten-track places inside the neighbourhood. He is an incredible source of info and enjoyable host!

The owners, Greg and Trudie, are lovely: very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy and the washrooms are just like home - easily the best I've seen at any hostel. The hostel is set back from the road. The entrance is on a bend in the road and the sign isn't lit up so it's easy to miss in the car in the dark (I did from both directions! ).

Great spot - well worth staying here - liked the setup with common area and kitchen on the main floor, and bunks upstairs. Place was very clean, Showers were good, Kitchen was ideal, Room was spacious, Bed was comfy, very laid back, relaxing atmosphere, and most importantly, the host was great - They had time to exchange a few stories of the area (He even ran back to the main house to check the time of sunrise for our venture to Peggys Cove for sunrise! ). The area itself is well worth a visit - Mahone Bay, Lunenberg, Peggys Cove, Hirtles Beach were all quite nice. The morning of our Peggys Cove sunrise visit, we awoke to find several deer on the lot! Overall, I had a top notch experience.
