Location, right off the primary shopping street and close to everything.

Very central location, it is only a two minute walk to the metro and to the main shopping street. The staff was helpful, they provide you with information about the city. There are free maps and tourist guide books.

REally awesome place, lovely and amazingly friendly, it's small so you get really involved inside the whole atmosphere and the employees are really personable and remember you pretty quickly which is lovely! Also, the dorm I stayed in is quite open plan, but separated at the same time which helps create a nice atmosphere

I stayed during Grand Prix weekend where hotels that normally go for $120 is bumped up to $500. This place was perfect at $25/night for a safe place to sleep and being center to the action on Cresant and St. Catherine's st. It is literally a 1 min walk from Guy-Concordia station. Outside of the rooms, facilities are what you expect at other hostels: 4-5 individual bathrooms, a tad old and run down but it did the job and staff kept it as clean as possible. Kitchen and den were basic and simple. Breakfast was cereal, milk, toast with peanut butter or butter. 1 computer for everyone's use. Staff was always friendly and eager to help. The rooms were very clean. I was in the girls room and it had nice hardwood floors, 6 bunk beds made of metal so it was strong, quite wide (twin size) and didn't squeek much at night. Pillow was sufficient with some substance for my head to rest. 1 lamp that was bright enough to light the entire room. Loved having a large locker that allowed me to place my small suitcase in there and comes with a pre-installed lock and key. Bed was comfortable with a lot of overhead space. They had a warm cozy comforter that I melted into at night. So I slept well. Rooms were airconditioned so I was comfortable all night. Even though we were close to the action, at night, the rooms were very quiet and easy to sleep throughout the night. Overall, great value if your purpose is to get some sleep in a clean and safe place that's center to all the action, accessible to the metro, 747 express bus to/from airport (5min walk away).

Really clean, quite small hostel in an excellent location. Warm and friendly staff, other residents quiet and considerate.

Pretty low-cost. Close to the metro station Guy-Concordia (and Tim Hortons coffee just opposite the metro station). Walking from the hostel to downtown leads you through many shops and restaurants/coffee on the way. In the hostel, there's a kitchen with food such as cereals, bread, milk etc (which is the free breakfast, but can be accessed at any time other than the morning). The kitchen is equipped to some extent, so you may also cook.

Clean, nicely situated - central and near to public transport, free wifi, dorms were not too big, large lockers and good overall security, good value as breakfast of cereal/toast included inside the price. Beds were also extremely comfortable! Overall the place felt extremely comfortable and welcoming.

Paul was so helpful, each finding local eating places and also getting out of Montreal to Mont Tremblant. He also went above and beyond to get me a place one night when all his beds were full and i was looking for another night. Very clean, properly organised, great place!
