The place is very good, very properly located on a great spot in Downton Montreal. It is very properly located for whoever wants to go partying (St. Catherine and St. Laurent), near to St. Dennis, Chinatown and at a moderate distance from the Old Montreal. It is near to the subway so it is very easy to reach different parts of the city from here. Staff is very nice, no complaints on that at all. Ambient is old-style which suited me fine, and I found it quite clean (clean towels every day, etc). The doors are locked soon after around 10pm, but you have just to ring and they let you in. I believe this is very good considering that St. Catherine is a very busy street at night along with the staff was quite watchful on the people going around, which increased my confidence on security. I can say I am very satisfied with my stay and I think it gives a very good value for your money.

The building is rather old, which means some parts of it are rather pretty while others just seem a little rundown. The rooms and bathrooms were all very nice and clean along with the employees was most definitely welcoming. The location was good due to the fact it was close to the Boulevard Saint Laurent and close to the down-town location as well.

C&'est vraiment tr&es proche du center ville. La station de m&etro saint Laurent est &a 300m de l&'h&otel. L&'h&otel est situ&e sur la ville sainte cathrine juste &a c&ot&e de la location des beaux arts. Tr&es joli cartier et &a voir. En continuant en direction sud de la rue vous arrivez en plein cur du down town (shopping). L&'h&otel est propre.

In a really great location, near to a metro station and a close walk to everything. The $2 breakfast is really great value for money, and the room is really private.
