I really like the open area inside the hostel. Different people would gather and play there. You will be able to meet a lot of buddies there and you will not feel lonely.

Staff are very useful and friendly, and hostel is in a wonderful location inside the city for discovering all the hutongs and new cafes/restaurants and so on near the Confucius temple. And also extremely near to subway, so extremely handy to travel all over the city. The hostel is in a remodeled factory, which is extremely interesting, and is right inside the center of a hutong so it has a nice neighborhood feel and also an city feel.

Stayed there for a second time, this time in a private. It's a loft, so don't expect this to be a nice 5-star hotel. Basically warehouses converted into residential space. Good to experience this for a change, and the location in the middle of tiny Beijing streets with real Chinese life is perfect.

I would not recomend the double room without shower, it was like staying in a basement. The room had a weird smell and with no aircondition everything was moist all of the time. Not the best, but low-cost for Beijing and nice staff.

Close to subway was a plus (once I found it), yet lack of A/C was a massive stumbling block. I was told that dorm rooms were without A/C, and coupled with a lack of fan or ventilation it seems that anything hotter than my early-mid June stay could get intolerable. I would recommend this hostel during mild weather.
