Great location. Only few minute walk to underground station and bus stops. Easy access to key rail stations and places to go to such as Palace, Parks, Beijing Zoo and etc. It locates quiet old residential location even close to the busy street. I could sleep well. Staffs are extremely kind and helpful. The room, bed and other facilities are basic but enough clean. There are numerous household run small restaurants, food stands, and stores near by. I could eat numerous popular Chinese dishes with low price.

In a hutong area, very quiet, minimal visitors around and situated between two subway stations for lines 2 and 4 so very convenient. Courtyard house-style building, courtyard has been turned in to a communal area for Ping Pong.

Well, its a Huton, its my favourite Hostel in China! It most likely depends on what you are expecting; if your primary priority is to have ultraconvenient facilities and luxurious bedding, you will get way much more value for your money in those large hotellike hostels inside the citycenter. Without knowing the language or having buddies over here you most likely wont see anything of the "real china", but this hostel and the surrounding hutons and small alleyways will at least give you a hint of the real deal. Plus the employees is really friendly and speaks extremely good english. (Bedding and facilities are handy enough, dont worry)

Located inside the middle of a conventional Hutong improved the setting of being among local Chinese people. Besides, all rooms were adjoining the central courtyard, which was great! Employees was really friendly!
