We moved there cause there was no offered dorm beds in the Happy Dragon. It was nice to change area for one day and see another neighborhood. Really close to a huge typical shopping street.

Great conventional building, somewhat run down but that seems to add to the charakter. Superb location in a hutong region (walking distance to Forbidden City), the veranda in front of the building is just excellent for people-watching and getting in touch with locals and other travellers. The hostel delivers daily trips to a "secret" portion of the Fantastic Wall which was an excellent trip, if somewhat hard going (don't forget your hiking boots! ). Employees was super friendly and helpful, the downstairs bar delivers reasonable food if you don't really feel like going out. I thoroughly enjoyed my (short) stay there, excellent value for money.

THe hostel has a lot of character, you really feel immersed in a piece of chinese history. It is also really clean and safe. The location is excellent.
