Really nice rooms: well-furnished, well-equipped, and extremely big. Decent ensuite bathroom and shower (also extremely large). Outstanding location close to the bus stop and Baogou temple
Customer Review on 11 April 2012
The hostel feels far more like a small, boutique hotel, extremely clean and airy. Ther&'es not much in terms of common areas (the large front room is shared among reception, the restaurant/bar, films along with the net bar) and it didn&'t seem like the busiest location to meet fellow travellers - but as we were there to climb Mt Emei, we appreciated the peace! We were amazed by the rooms - exceptionally massive and spacious and superbly decorated. Beds were HUGE, memory foam-topped with individual electric blankets and with outstanding quality cotton sheets and pillows. Net (both the no cost wireless and net bar, which was also no cost unlike many hostels) was faster and far more trusted than any that we&'ve used at any hostel and indeed many hotels. Staff were generally knowledgeable about the climb and transport to surrounding areas.

The hostel is in a prefect location, only a few steps away from the bus station which you can get to the scenic locations, Leshan and Emeishan easily. We stayed in each a standard double and superior double room of which each were to an excellent standard and pretty and warm. The beds are huge and extremely comfortable, the extremely best beds we have ever encountered in any hostel. I would defiantly suggest staying in the superior double as you get a few little treats, 1. A rain shower in the bathroom which is just what you need following a trek and 2. A plasma TV which is hooked up to a computer/sound system so you can browse the internet within your room and watch movies. When staying in a private room you also get a no cost breakfast, either a western - scrambled egg, toast, butter and jam or a chinese which consists of breakfast mantou, pickled veg, boiled egg and rice gruel, each of which are a nice begin to the day. The food which is served in the hostel is delicious, Mr Zhangs cooking is fantastic.

We came to Emeishan Hostelc in the late afternoon to leave our baggage in a no cost baggage room. Our taxi driver brought us to the Emeishan Hotel that situated across the street from Hostelc. Eddy - a young owner of the spot met us in the lobby and answered all of the questions regarding a hike to the summit of Emeishan. Hostelc has a best location - two steps from the primary street, less than 5 minute walk to the bus station to the Emei city and to Emeishan. We stayed in Hostelc for one night after our hike. The room and bathroom were spotless. We ordered a dinner right in the Hostelc - chicken with bamboo sprouts. It was delicious and inexpensive. We used laundry washing that situated under the roof - no dryer, but plenty of clothes lines. Inside the morning we had a nice breakfast that was included in the price of the room (if you do not stay in the dorm). It was catered differently for local travelers and for the international ones. Boiled egg with noodles for locals, we got scrambled eggs with a toast and jam. It was one of the best accommodations that we stayed in China.

The hostel is new and sparkling clean, they've put some thinking into the details, the beds are comfy, the bathroom is spacious and has a western toilet, there's a great restaurant just across the alley.

Friendly helpfull staff, some doesn't speak extremely well Englisch, but they'll try and always will help. Location is really nearby busstation (to mt. emei and near city's). A little, but a cosy relax-area with possabilities as computer/internet and watch DVD.
