The location is very good, but what I really liked about this hostel is its cleanness and thoughtful &"extras&" such as the clean towels everyday along with the beds made up every morning. How nice to come back to a clean, made-up, great-sized, bright and light room every night soon after a long days sight-seeing! We had a triple room, and a twin room (not with river view) for our family of five - which I must say I much preferred to the river view room option which by comparison was very dark, due to the large covered balconies. Give me natural light any day! The staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast left a lot to be desired - disappointing soon after such pretty rooms! You could trot a mouse across the tea - far too strong - green tea next time, please! Very good tours and car hire arranged.

Huge room and extremely outstanding price. Guilin isnt massive so the location cant really be bad and it was only a 5 minute walk to the bus station.

It had a really very good view across the river. Our room was beautifully furnished and clean and had a outstanding balcony. The staff were warm and friendly and helpful and spoke very good English.

It was close to town centre and things of interest. Employees were extremely friendly and helpful with booking day tours and spoke extremely great English.

The owners run two properties side by side on the river. Staff are friendly. Rooms are clean, excellent warm water and ac. Quite spot. Location 10 minutes from train station and a further 10 minutes from the main street of stores (on foot. ) Staff can book train tix too and hold your bags in case you ate going for a few days out of town. Overall excellent value for money.

Great location by riverside yet central to town, easy walk (despite what some reviewers say we found Guilin an appealing city / location warranting a couple of days). Friendly, helpful staff. Calm & comfortable reception / breakfast / lounge area. comfortable room with river view (private double). Separate door key card / room power card (so one of us could go out whilst the other stayed). Fantastic tours (Longji rice terraces + Yao village; Yao mountain (cable car, slide down); tea research institute.
