The front desk girls who strive to be patient and helpful, most of all. The room has very good AC, superb bed linens, so-so towels, plenty of hot water. It was fairly silent in spite of being close to the stairs. There is a washing area patio with a automatic washer for free. One just pays a bit for detergent. Hangers offered for drying out there. Location in Tunxi is perfect, one block from Lao Jie and there is certainly a dumpling location next door.

This is a exceptional hostel in a amazing location inside the heart of the Ancient Town, where several exceptional little eating places and stores are situated. The employees were just amazing, all the girls were extremely helpful and friendly, exceptional travel hints and tips and exceptional service. Joe the manager was a exceptional host too and certainly knows how to treat guests. Oh and check out the resident puppy. you won't be dissapointed :-) I didn't wish to leave and reckon I will be back there soon.

Nice room however they added about 30% to the price right after I booked and paid the deposit.

It is almost like hotel than a hostel. really nice location to spend the time in and around tunxi. the staff was really nice and helpful, thanks to shelly!

The fit out was extremely new and looked great. majority of the employees were great. very nice bar attached but they never delivered on the breakfast that they advertised. the only thing that really let them down was the scarcity of the bathrooms, one per floor, and they were NEVER cleaned once during our 4 night stay.
