Fantastic location, lovely building and courtyard, really helpful staff and always willing to help. I would like to share some advice on getting to pingyao as its actually quite easy, despite what it may first appear like. We were arriving from xian and were concerned about how to get to pingyao as the train takes 13 hours. Instead we got the bus to taiyuan and asked the coach driver to drop us at the motorway tollbooth for pingyao - this will save you having to go to Taiyuan and back (an added journey of about 4 hours).

Nice huge beds, warm room, great location, good price, clean. Bathroom had its own water heater so the showers were always hot!

The location is awesome and also the cosy environment and facilities are amazing. The hostel is huge but there are many areas to get your space and its outstanding value for money! They have no cost internet and wifi and employees were helpful when asked the right inquiries adn generally had smiles on their faces! Beds were awesome with electric blankets and heating in room with lots of space!

Incredible building with fantastic character, most likely one of the nicest buildings in town and that&'s saying something! stayed in the 3 bed dorm which was really authentically decorated. thick duvets and heated blankets made it really cosy. the food we had was really nice, maybe a bit pricey. staff really helpful and often on hand.
