The spot is a peaceful oasis. The grounds and the facility are like a retreat && I found myself just wanting to chill out there instead of doing as much sightseeing in Medellin. The dogs were an added bonus; they are really sweet, properly behaved and affectionate. The employees were super and couldn&'t do enough for you. In case you like peace && quiet, this isvthe spot to stay while visiting Medellin!

Is not to large and it has a nice garden. When we were there the other travellers were very nice.

No doubt one of the very best Colombian Hostels. Despite of the fact that it is not allocated downtown, but in a suburb (20 minutes from the city center by bus or metro), once at the Buddha, the warm and friendly Hosts, the venue and facilities itself, super mattresses, also as the tropical garden, would make you feel transported to another dimension. The spot is very clean, both dorms and private rooms are exceptional along with the food out of this world, thanks Martin, Mariano to have make us feel like so good. A spot with style. Strongly recommended.

In my three months of travel through Central and South America, Buddha Hostel was far and away the very best place I stayed. Really, truly, it is a destination in and of itself when you come to Medellin. The decor of the place is so unique and so thought out. I stayed for about 10 days, and even on the last day I was there, I still noticed decorations I had never seen There is an energy that runs through the place that is both uplifting and centering at the same time. The co-owners are super friendly and super helpful. A very home-away-from-home type feeling. And whilst the location might be a downside for some (it is outside of Medellin proper), I found it fantastic to get off the traveler trail (but not too far) and ride the bus with a bunch of locals as they return home from work.
