Nice hostel looks like a massive modern bamboo hut. Bar on top of the hostel has extremely nice view. Dorms are clean. Employees is helpful and speaks superb english.

I completely adore this hostel! Awesome view from the roof lounge (with a bar and hammocks) and around 4 or 5, everyone hangs out up there and it&'s a great location to meet other individuals as a solo traveler. The staff was extremely nice and helpful in organizing activities and transportation and let me keep my bags there for a few days while I went to Tayrona/palomino, and even remembered my name when I returned.

Every single member of staff was really friendly and also the location, despite not being on the beachfront, was only a really short walk away. The view from the bar/chill-out location upstairs was great. Work is nonetheless taking location to further improve the hostel.

La Tortuga is THE BEST hostel! I had such an amazing time here. I booked one night and ended up staying 6 days simply because i didnt wish to leave (would stay longer if it had been possible). I have been travelling south america for 19 months now and this was basically my last stop just before home and im so glad it was here. A ideal send off. All of the staff at this hostel were really helpful and so, so friendly. The colombian owners, mona and juan have clearly put so much effort into making an awesome environment and a lovely, very clean hostel thats a lot more like a home. The bamboo structured building is amazing and was designed and built by them which i think is really cool. It has the very best views of taganga by far and the sunsets from the rooftop bar are incredible. The Bar: really tasty, strong, cheap cocktails and fantastic happy hours that last all night and some of the very best music in taganga (much greater than what youll hear inside the clubs). An amazing spot to relax with a beer or cocktail, in a hammock or meet other travellers or chat with the bar staff. Juan and Mona put on a party while i was there and it was crazy! Lots of drinking, music and dancing. Also an awesome spot to relax out as well. Its not a &'party hostel&' so you do get to relax as well. I took a trip to the national park while i was there and they arranged all of the busses to pick me up from the hostel and take me home the next day. Which was really helpful and the same price as if i booked it anywhere else. (Tayrona is paradise! Stay at cabo san juan beach). Also, juan is a totally qualified professional diver. He took me on a day dive (didnt have time to do the full course unfortunately) and it was too good! The dives were amazing. I have never dived just before and the reefs and fish in that different globe were incredible. I felt extremely secure and happy the whole time and juan was really professional but is a very fun cool guy who does all he can to create sure you have the very best time possible. Highly recommended. Basically this hostel and the staff and individuals i met made my stay in taganga so much greater than i could have expected. I made so numerous really good friends there and am really going to miss everyone and the whole vibe of the hostel. Really clean, a lot of fun and just fantastic times and all set up by the nicest owners who genuinely care. Go to tanganga and stay at La Tortuga. I Definitely recommend it to anyone. Oh, they also have tortoises which is awesome. Feed them some lettuce! Thanks again for everything and giving me the very best ending to an amazing time in south america. x

Really exceptional helpful and warm and friendly staff, VERY cute baby kitten, nice views from rooftop bar. Able to leave backpacks here whilst we went to Park Tayrona.
