It is the top quality/price holiday accommodation I ever had in any location I ever been to among 17 countries. The hostel owner is quite honest, incredibly friendly, he tried his best to please everyone inside the hostel, not only me The hostel smells great, it was often clean and everything is neat. You can use the web free of charge there on one laptop

The owner went above and beyond to create my stay enjoyable. he put me in a room with two other canadians and suggested we rent a car to see plitvice national park, and we saved over 50$ each doing that instead of a tour. fantastic location!

Hostel Elena is a outstanding spot to stay. It&'s super clean (probably the most clean hostel I&'ve ever stayed in), amazingly located as nicely as the employees are incredibly friendly and helpful! The owners want you to appreciate your stay, it&'s not just about &"check in, have a look at and let me make money&" with these guys. They provide a outstanding service from the moment you get there till the moment you leave. Oh and also, the showers are a reason alone to stay there (sooooo goooood).

The hostel is wonderful--definitely stay here. The rooms were large as well as the beds were SO COMFORTABLE. The bedspreads could have been for a 3 star hotel. The lockers were huge (at least 6 feet tall and over a foot wide) as well as the rooms were secure. The only downside about safety would be that for our room (6 bunk room, there were 6 of us) there was only one key to the room door (but everyone had a key to the front door). There were bathrooms on each and every floor and they were clean. The bathrooms were small though, and it would have been nice to have somewhere to put your things (or at least hooks). The management is super--the guy who owns the spot is extremely laid back and nice and gave good recommendations for food and nightlife. He said he&'s renovating the bathrooms soon. The location was great--it was right near to the water and a bunch of awesome cafes and fastfood places. It was like a 10 minute walk to a enjoyable night club called Hitch and we had no problems getting to the primary shopping street by St. Donovans (that was also inside 10 mins walking, maybe even 5). We did have some trouble finding the hostel because it&'s on a small island. If you get onto the street near to the water you should look for Cafe Corso. Go past the cafe on its right side (if you&'re facing it) and then turn into the first left (small alley). The hostel door is right in there. The hostel doesn&'t have a sign so you just have to know that it&'s number 4 in that small alley. Really a wonderful locate and I would definitely suggest staying here.
