As describe on the website, the staff were really helpful and the room was really nice. Breakfast was really nice and easy to get into town even though it was about 15 mins away. Free internet access and always on hand to help. | |

The boathouse is like a big home away from home. don't be fooled by first appearances, it looks a little shabby, but this place has a big heart in the form of vera and helena (who are like your mums for the duration of your stay) and of course myki, the half blind but very loveable hostel cat. breakfast is free and plentiful and the dinners which are extra but CHEAP! are delicious and freshly cooked each night. just like your mumma would make! i didn't eat dinner anywhere else. the location is beautiful, though a little out of town. right by the river! it is worth the (easy peasey) 15 minute tram ride along the river to get there. trams run all night so no need to worry about how to get back after a night out. the boathouse is spick and span and runs like a well oiled machine. i would definitely come here again! | |

Overall not a bad stay. Location leaves something to be desired - it was far enough from city center as not to be on my nap - but such is life. Beds fairly uncomfortable to begin with and huge pillows mean that a tallish person cannot lay flat on them. I ended up not using the pillow, just folding up my comforter and using that. Food is acceptable as Czech fare goes, though nothing impressive. Could have been worse. | |

Very good hostel. So clean and very very tidy and staffs very helpful also lovely breakfast. I really love this place. It'd be good if you are staying here in group. Because it's like a camping place. It looks a bit far from city in the map. But I don't think so, if you have any public transportation ticket. It's very easy and just 15 minutes to go to the city by tram. I would like to recommend this place. Very worth for what you have paid. Thanks & See you next time. | |

Pros: - It's on the river, which is really pleasant - Despite the distance, it's easy to get to by tram to/from the city (trams run 24hrs), and a 10 min walk from tram station - The women who run it are very lovely, like caring mothers - Good breakfast, which runs until late, 11am - Clean showers and toilets. Cons - The distance from the city, 30 min trip whenever you want to get into the city [although didnt seem to be tram inspectors, so we got away without paying for public transport] - Booked the twin room, and the way the room was constructed, you couldn't place to 2 beds together. - The beds were AWFUL. The worst I've ever had at a backpackers. Squeeked at every moment, and sagged in the middle a LOT. - The place was pretty empty. - You feel like you're living in the 80s or 90s. The place is old, and so is all of the decor and facilities. - Only 1 block of showers/toilets, on the lower floor, and we were staying on the upper floor. - Only 2 computers for internet, and they are really slow. Had to pay for using the wifi (2 fee, regardless of how long you're staying) | |
