This is a hotel with backpacker prices, so don&'t expect a party hostel with games and activities. Wireless is fast and reliable, and there was 24hr hot water. The breakfasts (not included) were also extremely nice up on the roof terrace. Being a hotel there was a daily cleaning service along with the spot was spotless!

The greatest advantage oh hostel was that it was really near to termal springs. Room was cleaned every single day. There was a wide selection of obtainable services like laundry, massages (30$) or depilation but we didn&'t use them. There was also no cost swimming pool, but a bit dirty. At the top floor there was a kitchen, in which from really morning four cooks were waiting to prepare us breakfast (around 3$).

The hostel had a really nice view. It was fairly silent during the night but a bit loud inside the morning because it is in front of a bus stop. They have breakfast there which you can get quite early inside the morning, but it wasn&'t the really best breakfast I had in Banos. Although the coffee was not instant and you could actually get milk on the side. In addition, the shower was big, warm and decent pressure which was a nice change in Ecuador.

This was a nice hostal with exceptional views of the town. It is very noiseless during the night but that doesn&'t stop one from venturing into the town to a bar or club if you don&'t feel like going to be early. They also offer all sorts of massages and other aesthetic treatments (we didn&'t try them there though). Breakfasts (not included) are huge and pretty good though it can be busy along with the cooking area is small so you have to wait a bit for your meal. Veronica (I believe that was her name; female front desk employees member) was extra helpful, assisting us in making a booking for La Nariz del Diablo simply because we weren&'t confident enough in our spanish.

Hostel Chimenea is the best hostel I&'ve stayed in Ecuador so far (and my stays include some &>90% rated hostels). Service is great, it&'s really noiseless within the night and yet there&'s a lively atmosphere. You can get excellent breakfast within the roof top terrace cafe (about 3 dollars) and most (all) rooms have their very own balcony. There are also three PCs with net access. Their location might be better, but since Ba&nos is a relatively small town this isn&'t so important: the difference between an average location and a extremely excellent one is most likely about 400m.

Beautiful hostal in a gorgeous spot, just a few minutes walk from the town centre, right underneath the waterfall with truly spectacular sights (from most rooms, especially the rooftoop rooftop and restaurant). Room was cozy and clean with a nice little balcony. Great breakfast. Lots of spa services on provide but all at an extra cost, but superb value for the room. Would definitley go back

Very nice rooms with bathrooms, looks like a nice family run hotel. A great location to stay in Banos. I would suggest it to everyone. Nice cafeteria on the roof terrace.

Good location, not too near to the party street but not too far away
