I had a amazing time staying at Colonial House. The staff were all really warm and friendly and helpful, the accommodations were very nice and comfortable, as well as the location was perfect. In addition, they have people who can sit down and help you arrange tours for later in your trip. They were really helpful in booking trips to the Galapagos that were much more reasonably priced than anything I found back home. They also had laundry washing service - cheap, quick, and they even folded all my clothes for me! I also would recommend staying inside the old city in Quito instead of gringolandia - much more culturally stimulating and there is certainly lots to see during the day.

Very freindly and helpfull staff. Fre internet, coffee and tea. Two kitchens for guests. Lots of hanging out areas. Good looking indoors.

The breakfast was amazing, there was a little bit of warm water inside the mornings even. The owner was so nice and helpful, as were all the staff

The owner Ornelia is like a den mother to all of her guests. She is full of fantastic info and is often looking out for our safety. Location is fantastic - in San Blas, 7 minutes walk to Old Town. Quiet location. Cozy beds. Great facilities, all services available - breakfast, laundry, taxi, tours, etc.

The owner Ornelia is like a den mother to all of her guests. She is full of wonderful info and is always looking out for our safety. Location is wonderful - in San Blas, 7 minutes walk to Old Town. Noiseless location. Comfy beds. Fantastic facilities, all services accessible - breakfast, laundry, taxi, tours, etc.

The lady who runs this hostel is wonderful! The employees couldn't have been far more helpful and friendly. The environment was fantastic. . we had a party to say farewell to one of the volunteers when we were there which was lots of fun. It's a beautiful, cosy, warm, friendly and fun hostel. The breakfast was also amazing and properly worth the extra 3. 50. I would definitely suggest it.
