If you are a party hostel kind of person, this is not your place. This is a lovely home that is noiseless and secure. I would strongly suggest it for anyone looking for a calming location to spend their time in Quito. It is a bit out of the way, but only a $2 cab ride from anywhere you would like to go. Or a 10 or 15 minute walk. Security is very, really good, and there are a lot of food and internet shops close by. Near to all public transit. Extremely nice for solo travelers. Hot showers.

I felt extremely safe in this hostel as properly as the property owner is very nice and extremely helpful. She drove us to the bus when we visited Mitad del Mundo. She speaks english, spanish and italian. And she understands french, too. Muchas gracias a la Se&nora.

Host Luigina is so personable, and provides amazing value in a gorgeous home setting. There is certainly a real benefit to staying at this location for such a great rate! For what you save, you can easily come out ahead even by taking taxis to other areas of city, to purchase and store your own food products for meals, etc. A quiet, tranquil and safe place from the noises and party scene of other locales - definitely appeal for the much more mature and single traveler. Luigina went out of her way to be helpful, even taking us to a mall to purchase a camera to replace a lost one. In case you can, ask for the room with patio access and enjoy the morning sunshine!

The owner went out of her way to be helpful, helped with altitude sickness, got a taxi cab for me going to the airport at 4AM, offered to buy food for me when I got in on a late flight and then followed through. it was a fantastic spot to stay and I will go back.

Awesome house with 5 rooms, kitchen, spacious livingroom and a terrace with a beautiful view over Quito and Cotopaxi. Very open and warm and friendly owner. I enjoyed my stay really much!
