Great pick up from airport despite our plane being one hour late Really warm and friendly Beautiful rooms Superb breakfast Extremely knowledgeable about local area

The owner, Luis, is incredibly warm and friendly and willing to help with anything. We were offered a cup of tea when we arrived, then Luis took time to show us some maps and explain some of the highlights of the city. We took a tour with Luis to the Mitad del Mundo one day and he was a great guide as well. The Jumbo breakfast was awesome (cereal, eggs, juice/milkshake, tea, toast). The bed was really comfortable - a little bit of noise from the road, but nothing that stopped us sleeping. Very good wireless too.

The owners are fabulous, will do everything to create sure you have a nice stay. Breakfast is superb as well. Neighborhood is good, much much nicer then Mariscal, near to historic center and very very good tour operator (Carpe DM in Secret Garden Hostel) just around the corner.

Luis, Maria and their daughters were excellent hosts and they worked really hard to make us really feel at home. Luis had a lot of local knowledge and was often ready to help with anything we wanted. The rooms were clean and pretty and also the beds were nice and comfy with 2 pillows each, which we found a rarity in several other lodgings. A lovely location to stay.

Luis, Maria and their daughters were exceptional hosts and they worked really hard to make us feel at home. Luis had a lot of local knowledge and was always ready to help with anything we wanted. The rooms were clean and pretty along with the beds were nice and cozy with 2 pillows each, which we found a rarity in numerous other lodgings. A lovely place to stay.

There is nothing not to love about this place. The rooms are extremely massive and comfortable, it has tons of character (the home is over 150 years old), it's in a exceptional location, along with the breakfast is delicious. Luis and his family own the spot and live onsite, often ready to provide advice or cater to any need that you may have. They are kind beyond words. It's really a lot more of a B&B than a hostel, with 4 private rooms and 2 a lot more on the way. We'll come back here any time we're in Quito.

There is nothing not to adore about this place. The rooms are very large and comfortable, it has tons of character (the home is over 150 years old), it&'s in a great location, and the breakfast is delicious. Luis and his family own the place and live onsite, always ready to supply helpful advice or cater to any need that you may have. They are kind beyond words. It&'s really more of a B&&B than a hostel, with 4 private rooms and 2 more on the way. We&'ll come back here any time we&'re in Quito.

If the cost of this place initially puts you off, dont let it in case you can afford it. Its a lovely place and the owner, Louis, can not do enough for you. He will help you with completely anything, and also offers day trips cheaper than the agencies (and you go as a small private group with the benefits than come with that! ). He is a wealth of information about the city and makes you feel like you are in your own home. The breakfast is simply superb, the rooms extremely (very! ) massive and beds comfortable. As I said, in case you can afford it I thoroughly suggest staying here. The way we were looked right after made our stay in Quito so much far more enjoyable.
