Oasis Hotel Luxor

We booked for one night to check it out, liked it, and ended up staying 5 nights. The staff are all extremely friendly and go out of their way to help out. the rooftop lounge/eating location is great; relaxing, warm and sunny, and above most of the noise! Sunset Tea is for free and quite nice. Our room was a double with a private bathroom and it was great. The room is huge and also the bathroom quite massive as well; the location is a bit dated but still extremely clean and tidy! On the day we were going to the Valley of Kings, at 5am, we realized our door lock would not close. we informed the staff and they told us to leave our stuff within the room and it would be safe. about 8 hours later we returned and it was all good-now thats safe and secure! and they fixed the door lock. Coming to Luxor we were hasseled by the Bob Marley Home staff who wanted us to take a look at their den, but we are happy we did not, Oasis was great! And finest of all, they do not have any staff walking around town and hasseling anyone. from what we saw they were all extremely honest and straightforward and that is one thing you do not necesarily see in Egypt every day! We would certainly suggest this as great value for money!

Two words: sunset tea. The staff are super warm and friendly and helpful (i. e. found us train tickets when the station told us there were none left), and really not too pushy. Terrace is lovely, food is great and low price (especially the koshary), rooms were spacious, plenty of bathroom facilities and hot water, quite safe and secure. We took the night train back to Cairo and also the staff allowed us to wait on the terrace all evening and gave us tea and cake also as showers, all for free. Lovely people!

Rooms were super big, clean, with hot water and AC, and super cheap. Breakfast was nice, sunset tea was magical, rooftop restaurant was cheaper and far better than most places around Luxor. Staff were all incredibly helpful. Wireless worked everywhere. Atmosphere was fantastic, rooftop restaurant was also a really awesome location to hang out right after a hot day inside the sun and meet individuals as properly as the beer is really affordable, 8. 5LE for a large one. The street the hostel was on was really safe, as properly as the shop owners were all really friendly.

Environment was fantastic, rooftop restaurant was also a really awesome spot to hang out soon after a hot day within the sun and meet people and also the beer is really affordable, 8. 5LE for a large one.
