Friendly, helpful staff. Well equipped kitchen. Good bar with decent beer selection. Excellent location on the edge of Lake Windermere, with many rooms overlooking the lake.

We loved the location of the hostel, right on Lake Windermere. Our room looked out onto the lake which was stunning to wake up to. As we stayed over the New Year festivities we enjoyed the relaxed setting too.

The location is perfect, right on Lake Windermere, which was beautiful. The employees were all great even the hostel was extremely busy at times. I would definitely go back.

Excellent location for the Lake Region and Ambleside itself. Really picturesque. Clean. Nice staff. Very good parking for me and mates motorbikes off road.
