We visited Bath for a short break, and stayed within the hostel as we found it was the cheapest type of accommodation within the middle of the town, as I didn&'t fancy paying &xa3;100 extra for someone to put a mint on my pillow! St Christopher&'s Hostel is situated right within the middle of Bath, so could walk to all the points of interest easily, along with the train/bus station is nearby. Was very pleased with the helpful advise from all the staff, they were very warm and friendly and accommodating. We stayed in a 12 bed dorm which was fine, as we only needed somewhere to lay our heads for the night, and for the cost it was excellent value for money, that includes the free breakfast within the morning! Was a little bit worried about the shower situation within the morning, as previous reviews on here suggested there was a queue to use them, but we had no problem with them. We stayed within the hostel on a Tues && Weds night, within the dorm above the pub, you could hear the music, but it wasn&'t too loud to disturb any sleep, they do offer free earplugs in case you do locate it too loud or in case you are a light sleeper. The hostel was quite clean, I am quite particular about cleaning and found that the carpets and flooring, although worn, were hoovered and showers/toilets were regularly cleaned. There is certainly a relax out room at the top of the property, this housed a T. V, boardgames and a micro wave and kettle, although I didn&'t see any cutlery or crockery to be able to eat your food once it was heated. But this room would be good to pass the time if it is rainy and cold outside. Overall I am extremely happy with my stay at St Christopher&'s, and would stay there again in Bath and look at staying in their other properties across the world.

They did have warm water for showers but showering was bit a enjoyable experiance they have water saving measures which might be true for all hostels inside the UK but out was really short bursts of water. The beds exactly where made and smelled clean.

Location is perfect, shower rooms are reasonably clean. No cost breakfast and wi-fi are plus.

Location was great. Bar/pub was convenient. Showers were hot. Bathrooms were clean and I never had to wait.

Close to the principal street and supermarket, there&'s a bar downstairs with discounts for travellers also. common room is very good for meeting individuals but really small. very good wifi. its basic/no frills but you get what you pay for.

Fantastic location - good breakfast and you wont find greater hardly anything else in bath for this kinda price
