Great in case you are searching for a affordable location to stay, but you get what you pay for - 20 min walk to pier.

Have stayed in most hostels in Brighton as I go to once a month. The staff here were very helpful and polite and informative. The building is huge, each room has it&'s own shower (or 2 in my case - room 14) very very good location, very busy on a Friday night which was excellent for socialising. TV Room and pool table all clean and working fine. Breakfast was bland, tesco value bread and raspberry Jam, but hey when you&'re paying &xa3;10 a night, what do you expect Tea and coffee and juice also on offer. the shower was clean and in working order, quite powerful compared to ones i&'ve used in other hostels. The bedding was clean and given fresh sheets and pillow case on arrival - &xa3;10 money deposit which you get back when you check out.

It is a straightforward but really clean property. The Staff was helpful and really nice. The breakfast was appropriate.

I stayed at the hostel a couple of months ago, and enjoyed the stay so much I chose to come back. It is a friendly and clean hostel, and is really good value for money. A couple of the individuals I was travelling with hadn&'t stayed in hostels before and were really pleasantly suprised by the Smart Sea View Brighton.
