Friendly staff, nice fellow travellers. Fantastic kitchen facilities, and recently carpetted throughout. We struck lucky and shared a six bed dorm between two (myself and my sister). We were really impressed with the whole set out.

It&'s a basic hostel but it nonetheless has some charm, like the nice living room. Adam at check-in was a really friendly, helpful guy; the older lady less so. It was nice and quiet there, no party vibe.

Staffs are extremely helpful. One of them kindly guided me good local eating places to eat out and lent me a detailed map showing footpaths from Ambleside to Grasmere. Thanks to him, I had a fantastic time out with discovering all the peaks and valleys around!

It is extremely birght and clean hostel exactly where located extremely closed to the bus stop or the WATERHEAD port ! the kitchen is ver clean also with each and every tools you need and you don&'t have to worry your food will be stolen; individuals there are extremely friendly; TESCO is just 500m from this hostel. I enjoy this hostel :D

Tidy and nice place and facilities. About 5 minutes walk from the Ambleside Kelsick Road bus stop. Really helpful staff. Tea and coffee are freebee.
