Tidy and nice place and facilities. About 5 minutes walk from the Ambleside Kelsick Road bus stop. Really helpful staff. Tea and coffee are freebee.

This is a really wonderful hostel. The employees are so warm and friendly along with the rooms are clean enough. The cooking area has all kinds of equipment. I just feel like house and really enjoy here a lot.

Great location, silent and very nice staff. Got put in a private room simply because there was one free! Breakfast was nice and you could have tea and coffee as you wished. Would stay here again

Very helpful staff! They even put my friend and me into a room of our own (we had originally booked beds in a dorm) due to the fact they had the space. Fantastic location. Superb breakfast and no cost tea && coffee all day long. Fantastic fellow travellers inside the hostel. Cosy lounge. Board games available. The four-hour lock-out period during the day wasn&'t an issue due to the fact there&'s enough to do inside the Lake District. And even if the weather had been absolutely abysmal (which it wasn&'t), there would have been enough nice coffee places in Ambleside.
