I&'ve been to about 15 backpackers and this is the BEST. Its clean, comfy, friendly and exceptional setting but not noisy.

I only stayed one night at Torquay Backpackers and I arrived late and left early so there's not much I can comment on. The employees however were really friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable. I'd booked for a 4 bed dorm but the 3 other beds never got filled so I had the room to myself! I particularly liked the large lockers provided that you could put your own lock on to secure your belongings. They also have a sink in the room. The location is good, close to the main shopping strip, not far from the harbour and train station.

Lockers under the bunkbeds, free parking at weekends in rear access car park. Hot showers with good temperature regulation. No cost Tea & Coffee. Somebody passed out drunk on the pool table at about 23:30 on Saturday :-) V Funny. Hostel really noiseless and simple to sleep.

A warm and friendly place right inside the middle of Torquay, with lots of character, free wifi, free tea and coffee, parking for two or three cars, everything a traveller needs is there.
