The hotel is situated a few hundred yards from the 199 steps (i counted them they are 199) the rooms were very clean and tidy, the prices were cheap and the beds were comfortable. en suite shower a bonus. slight issue is being an old rustic building, the floor boards creak when say someone enters at 2am. i would nonetheless reccomend this hotel, and whityby is a beautiful albeit slightly boring place.
