Clean, excellent location, comfortable, friendly owner. There is certainly no reception so it&'s kind of like living in an apartment. I liked this but the only downside is you have to make sure you phone the guy prior to you arrive and he will let you in. Not a problem so long as you remember.

Everything was dirty as well as the place apparently isn&'t cleaned regularly. There are only two toilets (including one shower) for the whole hostel. It stinks inside the shower and inside the rest of the hostel.

Loved this spot simply because it was like having an apartment in Tallinn. It was in a fantastic neighborhood, safe, near to center, yet not right in center so you can actually come back and sleep soon after coming back from a late night out. Its clean, and has everything you need minus a computer, although there is certainly wifi. Great kitchen (actually two), washer/dryer, two bathrooms, and very SPACIOUS rooms. I really loved my stay there. The property owner is also a really sweet man!

The location was 15mins walk away but this meant it was noiseless (the city center can get noisy during the night time). Rooms/facilities were clean.

I'd rate Kaupmehe hostel rather positive. Its far away from the nicest place I've ever been, but for EUR 8. 9 per night its a great deal. Me and my 4 friends spent there 2 nights, bt we have met some people who live there for a few months just because its cheeper than renting a flat in Tallinn for one person. The things to like: * it is really clean, looks safe and secure; * located in a safe area; * not far away from the historical center of the city; * free WiFi is always an advantage, though I didnt used it all during my visit, but my friends granted that it works and is quiet fast working. Most important of all: VALUE FOR MONEY.
