The possibility to play games (volley ball and ping pong) was definitely a thumbs up :) Also the bar with fantastic food and drinks was gooood (not to mention the calm environment exactly where one could bring ones own drinks to the bar area, really nice) Also for those whose stomach can handle the kava, it is really great that Bamboo delivers nightly kava ceremonies. The employees is really helpfull. Even though we had some bad luck with being sick and confusion with our bookings, the employees were there for us every step of the way. for that we thank you warmly.

The staff are amazing. The highest individuals you would ever wish to meet. Despite some of the worst weather all year while I was there including a cyclone and I ended up spending my full 8 nights in Fiji at Bamboo because of washed out roads, bridges and severe flooding, the staff were wonderful even with water mains being cut-off and electricity. Both services totally returned so dont worry about that.

I loved the staff, everyone was very nice and helpful! The staff took care of setting up a trip for me to visit the islands at the cheapest price. It was straightforward to create buddies by participating inside the Kava sessions, it was so nice and relaxing to sit around with travellers and fijians alike and sing songs and drink kava. I was sad to leave.

The employees was extremely friendly and helpful with planning getaways to the surrounding islands. Also, there was no cost internet!

Amazing stay at Bamboo. Basic sleeping and it may be much better to use the larger dorm as there are a lot of fans (the smaller dorms are hit or miss if you get a fan). The people MAKE this place. Everyone is so friendly. We went away to mana for a few days and on return we fancied some fancy accomm so booked in at Smugglers but spent all our nights and days at Bamboo. Booked all our tours through Pela. The food is remarkable and cheap - if they&'re doing an earth oven meal definitely get it. Kava and spontaneous guitar sesh&'s each night!

Awesome staff! They were incredibly friendly and helpful, knew everyone by name, hang out with the guests, playing guitar, playing volleyball each and every day, etc. No cost wireless (as opposed to Horizon, Smuggler&'s and Aquarius hostels on the same street that charged 8 dollars an hour). Good and affordable meals served each and every day for lunch and dinner. 1-dollar sodas within the vending machine, Cosy spot to hang out, lots of hammocks spread out within the gardens, spacious dorm with balcony. 1min from the beach.

Very warm and friendly staff, made me really feel at home. First night sat in a bamboo hut and drank lots of kava, it was great!

The most essential thing that makes an excellent trip is the people. Samu, elia, wani, pela, coro, tokusa, along with the rest of the staff (theres too many to name them all) are just about the friendliest people on the planet. Another very essential thing is the atmosphere and its naturally very fun to hang around as it feels just like home. The relax out area/ dinner and breakfast area is the ideal spot to hang out, meet new friends, play card games, journal, etc. Its the most effective public area ive come by in all my travels of 8+ months. The place is very near to the beach, theres a wicked game of volleyball with the staff everyday, and theres always kava time after dinner for a non-resort feeling cultural experience which is another oportunity to relax and listen to some guitar. Basically, i stayed here a month and a half and it became my new home, i would recommend this spot to anyone and everyone. I can not wait til i can come back home.

The hostel was really clean along with the rooms spacious. It was also properly decorated. The employees were helpful too.
