We have few private rooms inside the hostel, but mostly we gather travelers together to dormitories. Totally we have 162 beds in our hostel.

Only a twenty minute walk into the centre of Helsinki and only ten mins from the Sibelius monument. It is actually part of the 1952 Olympic stadium and you feel you&'re staying in a historic building. The hostel is part of the International Hostelling Association.

Big, easy to get there from airport, calm location meaning no noise when trying to sleep, good bus connections to city.

I stayed here 2 weeks. Most of the employees is extremely friendly and helpful. There are plenty of public areas (cafeteria, lounge, 2 television rooms, small dining room, kitchen) to meet people. Quiet peaceful area, superb outdoor spot nearby to have a smoke and philosophize on life. Outstanding running track around the lake extremely close by (with free exercise areas with pull-up bars and even instructional videos). Outstanding coffee (1 euro) in the lounge. Functional cooking area that is certainly used a lot.

Staff were friendly and dorms were huge and spacious, much much more than other hostels in Helsinki. Points seemed secure with the key-card system. Good facilities, typical of a HI hostel, with a cafeteria with buffet breakfast, kitchen, lounge area, dining room and lockers outside the room. Wifi worked well and it was mostly pretty clean.

It was a really massive spot so the rooms were plentiful and spacious. I often like it when hostels have no cost towels and computers to use, so I was happy. It wasn&'t really inside the center of the city, but it was easily accessible by tram so I had no problems.
