We liked the location on the Island of Sveaborg - remote but jet close to Helsinki. The Hostel offered a silent retreat in a cold gray easter in Helsinki.

It was fantastic to stay within the middle of the UNESCO planet heritage site, with a stunning setting of the past. The staff was really nice, so I could even check in earlier than stated because there were not many other travellers during my stay. It is nice that there is certainly a self-service kitchen because food is as expensive as everything else in Helsinki. I really enjoyed the calm of this hostel. Moreover, they have really huge lockers (I could have fitted my whole backpack in).

It iis a very clean place. Midwinter in Suomenlinna has few people staying, so it was a calm place. Staff was very nice. The location is good, if you have the info about ferries to Suomenlinna, and it&'s very near from the middle of Helsinki.

Located on the gorgeous island of Soumenlinna, it was a fantastic experience being in a hostel that is certainly portion of the UNESCO Heritage site. It was really straightforward to get the ferry to and from the hostel into the major marketplace of Helsinki, which is even cheaper in case you get a 1 or 2 day transport pass from any of the R-Kiosks. It was a really fantastic experience.

It was a nice but the location is only fantastic during summer. If u plan to stay out you have to wait until 6AM for the ferry. But, since there is certainly not a wide choice of hostels in Helsinki, it might be the only appropriate choice.

The location was ideal for setting out early to explore Suomenlinna. Each the bathroom and dormitory were really clean. Not a really lively atmosphere, but fantastic for a calming evening and a exceptional nights sleep.

The property is a outstanding starting point for exploring Suomenlinna. The staff were extremely friendly, as nicely as the hostel was neat and clean (except for the sink and stove, but I think that might have been due to messy guests). It was also quite easy to get to down-town Helsinki by ferry, and Suomenlinna hostel charged half the rates of the down-town hostel.
