It was cheap - and the building is full of character - shame it's not very secure - had things stolen from the room because the keys are just hanging by reception and you just go and help yourself - no point in having the keys really, and staff didn't care - it wasn't anything valuable, hilariously a rubbish old dictophone and half a bar of chocolate! Unfortuanately a fellow roomate had his laptop stolen though. Also the only fire exit is the main stairwell - a wooden spiral staircase that took us up three floors - glad there was no fire, we'd have been toasted. Oh yes, and the bedding's rubbish, however the beds are quite comfortable. |

Nothing!!!!!!!! BED BUGS BED BUGS BED BUGS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not stay here, spend the extra 10 euros per night to stay closer to the centre if you have to!! It will be worth it. The desk agent was a monotone lazy guy who didn't help us with anything. They were rude and just plain angry individuals. The kitcen was gross and had like one plate a pot and a fork!! Ridiculous!! The sheets you had to pay a deposit and then pay for them and put them in the laundry when you check out!! My friend and I both got covered in bites. Not as bad as the other girl in our room. She had bed bug bites covering her whole face and back. these bites take ages to go away as well!!!! Just a horrible hostel and it should be taken off hostelbookers!!!! |

Good location, although the hostel is dirty and the staff unfriendly. There are surely quite a few hostels better than this in Paris |

The hostel is pretty bad, but you get what you pay for, and Paris is EXPENSIVE! I have NEVER been one to complain about showers, however even I am willing to complain about the showers at Woodstock. Push button is no problem normally, but it literally lasts 3 seconds, and the showers are COLD. The toilets leaked all over the floor and there were no hand basins or mirrors, you had to walk back to your room to wash your hands. Breakfast was good, and the free wifi a bonus, but the kitchen is no where near up to scratch - no plates, bowls, glasses, mugs, cutlery, etc etc etc. |

Great place to stay, I'd definitely stay there again. Really close to the metro station, walking distance from the Moulin Rouge and its boulevard, staff is very friendly and speaks very good english, sink with hot water in the bedroom, tasty breakfast. The only not-so-good thing was the shower, it turns off every minute so you have to press the button again, but apart from that it's perfect. |

The staff here were really great. They spoke English! The place was very colorful and had a nice atmosphere. They served free breakfast too! I got to meet alot of people while I was there. I felt safe all the time. The area around the hostel is not shady at all. I really liked it here. |

Though good location. i really cant accept the low degree of cleanliness! the toilet is smelly. flooring in the room only dust. i understand the lock-out time, but just too rude, and not helpful at all. 6 beds dorm. which is tooooo small, which my friend and i think should be for four only. having stayed in 4 hostels in this month, i can tell this one is the worst! free wifi maybe the only plus. |

Excelent value for the money! Great breakfast! No doubt that in Paris they have the best bread in the world. Those who complaint about breakfast don't know that bread, butter, jam, and coffee/chocolat is what you have in Europe for breakfast. Great environment and superb location. I'll stay here next time, for sure. |

This is a cheap but extremely basic place to stay in Paris. A bed, running water and bread for breakfast is pretty much all you get. Its dingy charms would deter all but the most hardy bohemians. |
