Grand Hostel Berlin

The Grand Hostel really is a Grand hostel way and by far the very best hostel I have ever stayed in! And I do believe its greater than most hotels! As soon as I arrived I was filling out a form and was given a free beer to make form filling much a lot more entertaining and once the forms were filled the dude at reception sat down with me with a map and in detail pointed out all of the principal attractions and which areas have what to offer aswell as MUSTAFAS! The very best Doner on the planet! And also the breakfast they put on was first class! one thing I would expect to see at a top notch restaurant! But if you are in Berlin STAY AT THIS HOSTEL! :)

Getting older, I haven&'t stayed in hostels in about 6 years, but when I saw the low costs for this one in Berlin, I took it. Stunning hostel, possibly the nicest I have stayed in. Very charming, well-planned and tidy. Everything was impeccably clean at all times, which is hard to do in a hostel exactly where numerous individuals are using the same showers and bathrooms. Employees is extremely friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

It is an old bishop&'s palace and is very beautiful. The staff are friendly, often there to help you - and go beyond what is needed to what is wanted! From the welcome cup of coffee to the potplants, lounge chair, desk and desk chair inside the room (single) and even a lolly pop and bottled water, everything was very impressive! It is right near a U-Bahn and not too faraway from places of interest. This is by far the top hostel I&'ve ever stayed in, and is much better than several low-cost hotels.

No bunk beds, wifi worked inside the room and was free. The hostel is located in a really nice building and has a lot of character. The employees (especially bar staff) were really warm and friendly and helpful.

- it definitely reached hotel standard - really nice and helpful staff ( plus a free welcome drink to greet you - sweet! ) - cozy single bed which allows you to sleep tight - excellent shower room with hair dryer, completely clean! - great location, take a 10 minutes walk to have great food :) - free baggage storage

The bathroom was immaculate, had lots of ledges for personal items and a number of hooks to hang items. There was also an actual shower curtain and bathtub! ! No short of miraculous for a hostel. The beds are super cozy ( not bunks) and &"gave birth&" to my extremely best sleep over 9 weeks of Euro-travelling second location only to a king size bed in a marriott hotel in Istanbul. Employees was freindly and also the pay breakfast option offered by hostel was ridiculous- in a very good way. Christmas markets tour with Ben was lots of fun. Thanks Much Grand hostel Berlin. I will one day return hopefully in summer when I wont practically feeze my nuts off. REMEMBER WINTER CLOTHES WHEN TRAVELLING TO BERLIN IN WINTER!

Lovely and helpful staff, cheap bar, superb music, superb atmosphere, comfy bed, warm (it was freezing when I was in Berlin), close to U-bahn but also walking distance to the city center as well as the cool pubs of Mehringdamm
