We really loved the host, he was really friendly, helpful and made us a nice breakfast. The room was clean, the common area was cosy.

Wonderful hostel!, The enviroment is great, and also the staff (Thomas the captain) is the best, I had a really very good time in this hostel. Everything was perfect, I would recomend it to everyone.

The boat is located on the river whch makes it a unique location. The 3 euro&'s I payd for hte bed are certainly worth it.

Had the BEST hostel breakfast! The employees are so warm and friendly and make you really feel really welcome and are willing to give you advise, directions or just chat. Exceptional common areas including a deck area. Free Wireless and good facilities inc washing machine and kitchen.

Awesome host! Thanks to Thomas for being such a nice and sweet owner and a real caretaker. The environment is too friendly out there. Not much rush, not too individuals but I really met some nice individuals out there. Location is a plus point also as bit negative. Positive since its really an awesome feel to be staying on a boat and a bit negative as its a bit far from city. so during night one may need to catch a taxi cab as trams dont operate in middle of night (especially in case you are coming drunk from a club/bar). Special mention again for this generous guy called Captain Thomas, really cool, takes care, for me he even came to recieve me on the tram station and gave me a no cost scooter ride to the bay. Overall, I&'d really like to go back and stay whenever I&'d pay a visit to Berlin back! :) And sorry Thomas, for giving this feedback so late, i got real busy :(

Awesome location to stay! It&'s such a special experience, and also the owner, Thomas, is an amazing host. Soon after traveling for two months, and staying in a dozen hostels, this was the most effective and most memorable; it&'s on a boat! If I&'m in Berlin again, I will most definitely be staying here again.

Thomas was a exceptional host and the allocation was worth to book it. Besides that it is a quite unusual way to spend the night: I never had the opportunity just before to sleep in a swimming hostel, it was also special due to the personal treatment && decoration. My room and bed was comfortable and the whole boat was just exceptional && cozy. I booked a room for the end of December and was worried about cold && waves but all rooms were warm due to proper heating and surprisingly you do not note the movements of waves. There is no chance to get seasick. :) Inside the kitchen you find all necessary equipment && ingredients like spices, oil, coffee && tea which makes the stay just even much more comfortable. Not to forget: Inside the common region you have free wifi! With reference to the location: it is situated in a calm district which is straightforward to reach due to good public transport connections. I will book with Thomas again && highly recommend his place.

Awesome hostel, Thomas the property owner is extremely welcoming and his breakfasts are great. The boat is extremely comfy and warm. I don&'t understand individuals giving him bad reviews for the location because the street tram is only a minute or two walk away, and some of Berlin&'s most popular neighborhoods are close by (Friedrichshain/Kreuzburg/etc) and the massive Sbahn station ostkreuz is not that far. not to mention it is silent and calm in the harbor so you can retreat a little bit from the massive city. I highly suggest this hostel, it&'s for individuals who desire to stay somewhere comfy and personable, not a huge white walled &"hostel&" packing travellers and profits in like sardines! You come here and will leave wanting to come back.
