There was a real household community at this hostel - lots of individuals were &'returners&' and often individuals were &'live-in&' which shows how extremely rated it is. The beds are constructed fairly well as well as the dorm room I stayed in was fairly spacious. This hostel though possibly isn&'t for everyone - as there is no-where really else to eat you are pretty much forced to stay at the hostel for dinner (which at 60Q for a 3 course is pretty damn good value), but if you&'re like me you&'ll begin to feel a little claustrophobic. The breakfasts are fantastic too. as well as the hostel is right over the lake so gorgeous views. The staff on the whole were pretty helpful too and they created a really fantastic vibe

Amazing location, extremely relaxing, warm and friendly staff

The hostel is in a really beautiful, relaxing location at the edge of the lake in a tiny village (right near the pier). Sunsets are gorgeous from the chairs and hammocks out front. Public dinners really bring all the visitors together and can be lots of fun. Public bath rooms were spotless and had a touch of eco-resort about them. We also dived with the hostel's dive centre (ATI Divers) - really professionally run. Andy is a fantastic instructor.

Deedle and dave are fabulous. as are the employees members. sarah, marco, owen, and crew. you&'re aces in my book. dorm was extremely clean, shower was suspect, but functional. one lancha (boat) stop from pana, so you have access to hop over to shop, barbeque under a palapa, or my personal recommendation, paraglide with Christian, Mike, or another accessible world-class professional at the shop (ask the employees for christian&'s number). it provides a exciting view of the volcanoes and it&'s the nearest thing we have to flying like an eagle. you won&'t regret it. a exceptional hike of 40 minutes, one of 3 hours, one to a waterfall and one to solola&' begins from the iguana. you must take a kayak out inside the morning when it&'s calm. awesome. you may also easily take a lancha to any of the pueblos along the north and west coast. stay at least a few days to get the full experience. exceptional food. safest location on the lake.

Fantastic food: breakfast, lunch and dinner. Try and get there for a Saturday as their barbecue night is a lot of fun. Really helpful employees and nice rooms.
