Have you ever visited a spot that felt like home Well this spot is better and becomes your home. Budapest will forever be the very best part of my trip to Europe, not due to the fact of the city (which was definitely nice) but due to the fact of the employees at Carpet Noctem and its sister hostels. This spot had a reputation of holding onto people and making them desire to stay. originally I was supposed to stay three nights, two and a half weeks later I was still there and forcing myself to leave. The atmosphere is addictive as hell and everyone becomes your best mate immediately. The party here is epic. Right after being in Budapest for less than two hours I found myself digging through bags of costumes looking for a sex position. the result was the Jack Hammer :-). This was going to turn out to be the weirdest and best night of my trip so far, which was absolutely nothing compared to what I would encounter over the next few weeks. God damn I desire to go back. Social and party people need only apply. I will be back.

Everything! From the descriptions, I expected to have a grotty hostel but great time partying. Actually the hostel was clean and pretty (and I had a great time partying). The staff give amazing descriptions of places to see in Budapest.

The best hostel inside the top city in europe! If your soon after a very good time this is the location to be. The awsomely warm and friendly employees organise events every night, which the whole hostel joins in on. Homecooked meals, extremely cumfy beds, and also the most awesome setting Ive found all across europe. Would strongly suggest to any traveller, especially those going solo.

I loved that it didn&'t really feel like a hostel, just a bunch of individuals hanging out and wanting to have a superb time! I was a solo traveller so the social environment of Carpe was extremely suitable! The individuals were warm and friendly as and as soon as you begin chillen out it feels like you have known one another forever. in regards to other comments about the cleanliness of the hostel. the hostel is cleaned in terms of a hostel. Carpe was PUUUURRRRFECT! you&'re an idiot in case you don&'t stay there : )

Carpe Noctem is the cherry on top of the scrumptious cake that is certainly Budapest. The hostel is a destination in its own right and is ideal for those who wish to meet some awesome individuals and partayy it up. The legendary staff take you out each single night to some wicked places and will often have a blast with you and laugh at all the bad jokes that you make. The place feels just like a mate&'s apartment than you can hang out in anytime. I travelled all the way across Austria just to come back to Budapest for a few extra days to revel inside the awesomeness that is certainly Carpe noctem! Words cannot describe how outstanding Carpe Noctem is. The staff, the guests, the facilities, the atmosphere, the location -- it is everything a perfect hostel should be and more. Carpe Noctem has an international reputation for being the very best of the best. But I don&'t think one can fully comprehend how enjoyable and welcoming this location is until they have experienced it firsthand. Due to the fact the hostel only sleeps 22 guests, you feel like you are portion of a family. Walking into the common room at any time of day is similar to walking into your friend&'s living room. I have met some of the most amazing people at Carpe Noctem, both staff and guests, and I am thankful to have them in my life. If you&'re visiting Budapest, there is certainly no other location you should stay. For the very best experience, come to Carpe Noctem.

There&'s often some thing to do, pretty exceptional vibe about the place. Relaxed about check-out/check-in etc. They feed you for next to absolutely nothing and are extremely encouraging about heading out on social events (every night)

The bed is decent and it&'s not too clean but it isn&'t filthy. I don&'t have much to say other than I didn&'t feel very comfortable here, as a party hostel I would have expected them to be friendlier and other visitors to be far more open to meeting new people, there were sort of &"cliques&" so I couldn&'t really fit into any of the groups and they didn&'t really party, they just drank until they got wasted and went back to sleep, that&'s not a party to me, so I ended up coming back early the first night and not even bothering to go out the second night which kind of blew. PS: they serve cheap food but the portions are really small as well as the food is cheap (pretty great anyway)
