Excellent value for money, staff were very friendly as nicely as the butter chicken was probably the most effective meal I have ever had in my life! They also arranged very cheap tours to the Atari / Wagar border display as nicely as the Golden Temple at night. Definitely go back to this hotel, without a doubt!

Was intially worried about this hotel soon after reading some terrible hostelbookers reviews, however I was very pleasantly surprised! The reception region is very clean and nicely decorated. Employees were very warm and friendly and helpful, as a female traveller I left the hotel late during the night alone to nip to the market place place about 20metres away that the employees directed me to, when stepping outside the hotel I was bombarded with attention (unwanted), the doorman having seen this came out of the hotel and walked me to the market place place to make sure I got there and returned safely and hassle no cost which I greatly appreciated! The rooms were large and some of the most clean I've seen in India. The garden cafe was also a amazing setting to eat and chillout. The food from the restaurant was very nice.

Brilliant location just opposite the train station, however the manager has a real dislike for people who book through hostelbookers - you end up paying more as they put on 10% tax charge which is not shown particularly clearly when you book. We met a couple who turned up on the off chance and they were paying 600rupees a night instead of the standard 1200! One computer available for the net which is really very slow and has to be paid for. Very good tour given in the afternoons but the employees linger around for tips and also the food isn&'t great. I&'d say there is certainly much better in Amritsar.

Rooms around inner courtyard. Did not like cockroach in my breakfast - employees did not seem to appreciate that I did not want a replacement breakfast.

Clearly extra work was being done to improve the standard of this one time luxurious hotel situated opposite the principal railway station. The addition of an english style pub nearby added a much better di-mention for drinking and eating. The interior courtyard was enjoyable to reture to in the evenings.
