Baby's Homestay at Fort Cochin

During a combined 12 months travel through SE Asia, South America and now India, this is not only the very best accommodation, but also the very best value we have ever experienced. A large properly equipped bedroom with a decent bathroom en-suite. Attached is a cozy lounge region with refrigerator and satellite T. V. and this leads onto a private patio equipped with couches, chairs and a table. Throw in ample cupboard space, a private safe, machine wash washing service, private entrance and spotlessly clean rooms, makes the spot special. There is certainly a priced reasonably breakfast, separately cooked and the hosts, whilst unobtrusive are friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable of the local environ. Highly recommended.

Baby and Walter are very hospitable and helpful! The room was HUGE and very clean, and was nice and cool during the night time even without a/c. (a/c is available but for an extra cost). Breakfast was amazing, it was a very relaxing location and a close walk to the water (about 10-15 minutes).

This was an outstanding guesthouse - European standard. Walter and Baby were extremely helpful. The room we had was huge - and it had the touches that you never usually uncover in Indian guesthouses. The bedroom was huge, with fitted wardrobes, bedside lamps and 2 ceiling fans. The bathroom was fully tiled with hot water, loo roll, soap and towels - even matching hand towels. We were lucky to also have a living area - with sofas, satelite television & refigerator and also an outside terrace area with seating. We had no cost wireless for the duration of our stay and Walter let us have a late checkout. I could not say a bad word about this place - it was like a break from travelling India. Also the locatioon was good - just a 10 min walk to Princess Street and all the cafes and shops inside the centre of Fort Cochin.

Very clean, warm and friendly welcoming homestay, excellent value for a large properly equipped room. Would recommend Baby`s everytime, stayed there twice in February 2011 and loved it. Baby and Walter are the excellent hosts, often available and helpful with excellent advice for onward travel and local knowledge.

Babys homestay was lovely. Walter and Baby were very friendly. The apartment we had was clean, had great facilities and was excellent value for money. Baby's breakfast was delicious. Baby and Walter were very helpful and supportive with onward arrangements. I would definitely recommend and would definitely stay here again.
