Several of my buddies (American college students) booked a reservation for one night while backpacking through Darjeeling and Sikkim. We ended up expanding our reservation and staying an extra night because we both liked Old (main) Bellevue as nicely as Darjeeling so much! The location has some charm, is really noiseless and slightly removed (in feeling and noise, but not distance) from the hustle of the city. The employees was accommodating and pleasing but filled out the passport paper work slower than any other hostel/hotel I&'ve ever stayed at. Has a very good view but because the fog is so think in Darjeeling (at least when we went in May) it&'s hard to see much beyond the city limits so it&'s really doubtful you&'ll see numerous mountains. There&'s also a wonderful little Tibetan restaurant just a few blocks away with out-of-this-world momos.

This is my first time booking accomodation through net. But Old (Main) Bellevue Heritage Hotel in Darjeeling was really excellent. It is excellently placed within the centre of Darjeeling (for outsiders, this would be a real blessing). Have great vegetarian outlets (Hasty Tasty) quite close by. Can have a evening shopping within the marketplace which is just as you step out of the hotel. Outstanding spot to stay in and great ambience. Important thing is the individuals there (Siddarth and Preetam) were very courteous. It is a spot to stay in and i would definetly suggest for future.
