The staff were quite helpful and there weren't a ton of rules at the hostels which seems to be the case with most these days, treating their customers like 13 yr olds. Hostels should be enjoyed and I believe Jacob's Inn follows this idea by helping people have a good time in Dublin and their stay at the hostel.

Especially the staff, really really helpful and friendly! Good location, nice street. And a lot of activities being organised by the hostel.

The staff was really helpful and everything was clean. They have a movie showing every night on a big flatscreen tv.

My first stay in a hostel as a family, excellent value for money. The common rooms were very well equipped and the Irish dancing lesson an extra bonus. Would highly recommend Jacobs. Thankyou.

I think the staff makes the hostel. I spoke with at least 3 staff members during my staff and all were helpful and knowledgeable. The hostel is about a block from the Connolly train station and near a bus stop to the airport. The only two points they could improve is 1. providing ventilation in the bathrooms (steam from the showers makes the room wet for a long time) and 2. have lights for the lower bunks. Aside from that, this was a great place.

Clean, friendly and very convenient to the bus and train stations. Breakfast was a bit lean - I think Jacob's used to offer fruit. Muesli would be a healthier option than cornflakes, but the Irish wheaten bread was good

The hostel was very clean, the facilities were great and the included breakfast was perfect. I will be staying again when i return to Dublin for sure!

The property was okay. but the ground floor rooms was definitely not. Our room was opposite the laundry room and was absolutely noisy!!!Doors were banging for the baggage room as well. Totally can't sleep with all the noise!!! Too noisy!!!

Location Information

We are situated beside the central bus, tram and train station and only a 5 minute walk to the lively Temple Bar and OConnell Street. Access from Dublin Airport and Dublin Ferry Port couldnt be easier with buses going directly from each place to the central bus station. For concert goers, Jacobs Inn is the closest hostel in Dublin to the O2 and is a short walk to Croke Park.
