The owner Paul is extremely very nice. We went to there on JAN 01, 2012, finally figured out that there&'s no bus could take (from Castellammare to hotel). He drove from hotel to pick us up at Castellammare train station. Thanks for that, we have a great day!

Loved how friendly everyone was. Employees couldn&'t do enough to help with travel plans :) so pritty with stunning scenery and walks on the doorstep

This is one of the highest hostels I have ever stayed at. Paolo and Anna-Marie (the couple running the hostel) are one of the friendliest, helpful individuals you will ever meet. Although it is a bit far out from the Coast, it is a gorgeous walk and the hostel is in an authentic Italian viliage - the individuals are friendly and it is so CHEAP compared to Amalfi Coast! I would suggest this place.

Nice place to stay, greater than Amalfi and Positano. Extremely nice scenery of the coast. Nice village and good opportunities to hike and swim. Great kitchen and a great place to meet other travellers.

The location is a little out of the way (an hours bus journey from Amalfi), but is a lovely and extremely restful area, off the traveller track and populated by locals. San Lazzaro is up in the mountains, so expect fantastic views, and is in an location designated as national park, so lots of pretty walks. The hostel itself was in an extremely fabulous building which has been turned into a hostel, whilst retaining numerous of its original features. The owner just left you to your own devices as the hostel was in a seperate building across from his house, so you could come and go as you pleased, although help and advice was always forthcoming.

Quiet night's sleep and nice to get out of the tourist crush on the amalfi coast. family who run the place are very friendly too.

Newly remodeled, this place was awesome! Staff was the friendliest we had in Italy. Stunning town on top of the mountains. Fantastic value for your money. Bus stop right outside takes you where ever you need to go. Definitly will come back here if i get the chance to venture to Italy again, and will be recommending to all buddies going there.
